He was predeceased by: his parents, Bob Porter (Bob) and Jean Porter; and his sisters, Robyn Cristler and Becky Porter. He is survived by: his wife Toi (Elliston); his children, Ashley McCarten (Jay), Drew Porter and Brittany Yeates (Talon); and his siblings, Roxanne McLaughlin (Mac) and Rick Porter (Sandy).
