He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Schmelzle and Leota Schmelzle; his brothers, Dick Schmelzle and Terry Schmelzle; and his uncle Harold Schmelzle.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Schmelzle (Melissa) of Gillette, WY, Tim Schmelzle (Lori) of Riverton, WY and Julie Simque (Dave) of Lake City, FL; and his stepdaughters, Heidi and Dusty of California. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren.
