He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Medlen and Lillian Medlen (Marshall); his wife Florence Medlen; and his siblings, Kathryn Hart, Edward Medlen, Arthur Medlen (Bob) and George Medlen.
He is survived by: his son Bill Medlen (Frankie) of Upton, WY; his grandchildren, Michael Atkin, Theresa Medlen, Shawn Medlen and Jill Douglas; and his sister Betty Soper. He is also survived by his ten great grandchildren.
