He was predeceased by: his parents, Soyfia Ketelhut and John E. Ketelhut; his brother Don Ketelhut; and his grandparents, John, Clara Ketelhut, Merle E. Ketelhut and Lowel Schierkolk.

He is survived by: his grandsons, Tristan and Kevin; his wife Mary Ketelhut; and his children, Kevin E. Ketelhut (Shari) and Marsha S. Ketelhut Schierkolk.
