He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Edker Amend and Sappho Mae Amend (Hinshaw); his brother Lewis Edker Amend, Jr.; his wife Dee; his brother Horace Cassell Amend; and his brother-in-law Raleigh Brooks.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Royston (Jim) of Denver, Noel Amend (Ginger) of Calhan, Carol Adams (Bruce) of Laramie and Chris Amend (Jen) of Riverton; his grandchildren, Hilary Chan (Kenny), Tracie Amend (Mike), Ashley Royston (Zac), Kellie Amend, Devin Adams (Becky), Kelsey Ciccu (Luca), Garrett Adams (Yazmin), Rex Amend (Sady) and Tom Amend (Louisa); his sister-in-law Marian Amend; and his siblings, Edith Amend Brooks and Dale Norman Amend (Nancy). He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
