He was predeceased by: his parents, Ella Mae Hughes (Smith) and Harry Hughes; his sister Brenda Hughes; his parents-in-law, Karl and Mary Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Wilson, Patricia Hughes, Ray Wilson and Frank Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Karla Hughes; his children, Leslie Bitaut (Wally) of Henderson, Nevada and Brian Hughes (Joy) of Riverton, Wyoming; his grandsons, Eric Hughes (Amanda) and Sean Hughes; his siblings, Ron Hughes of New Port News, Virginia and Linda Wilson of Riverton, Wyoming; and his brothers-in-law, Charlie Johnson and Tom Johnson (Kim). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
