He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Charles Esser and Myra Elizabeth Esser (Mounsey); his wife Lesta Esser; and his parents-in-law, Orville and Esther "Granny" Freeman.
He is survived by: his children, Justin Esser of Cody, WY and Robyn Beers (Cody) of Riverton; his grandchildren, Brady Kelvie Beers (Citlalli Almejo-Ponce) of Laramie and Baylor Justin Beers (Hally) of Laramie; his brother George Esser (Judy) of Brush, Colorado; his nieces, Stacy Pollart (Matt) of Brush and Jayna Smith-Flores (John) of Lakin; and his grandson Ivar Lundby of Bardufoss, Norway.
