He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgilio DeHerrera and Manuelita DeHerrera. He is survived by: his pet Sophia; his wife Beatriz "Beatrice" Ortega; his children, Angie Martinez (Tony), Katy Johnson (Dennis), Janet Leon (Roberto), Virgil DeHerrera (Lucy) and Libby Jurado (Ken Cureton); his former wife Ernestine DeHerrera; and his children, James DeHerrera (Melinda), Daniel DeHerrera and Maxine DeHerrera. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
