She was predeceased by: her mother Reba Hays (Wood); her husband Robert Wharton (Bob); and her son George Leon Wharton. She is survived by: her sons, David Wharton (Heather) of Las Vegas, Nevada and Robert Paul Wharton (Marilyn) of Lawrence, Kansas. She is also survived by three grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
