She was predeceased by: her parents, August Wiese and Anna Wiese (Knuth); her husband Merlin Cooney; and her sisters, Elaine Martens, Evelyn Schumann, Roberta Gillespie and June Wiese.
She is survived by: her children, Kathleen Reed (Bob) of Pine Bluffs, Kevin Cooney (Dana) of Ogallala, NE, Tim Cooney of Pine Bluffs, Coleen Sides (Gary) of Sterling, CO, Gerald Cooney (Paula) of Loveland, CO, Maureen Kinkade (David) of Cheyenne, Carleen Bullinger (Matt) of Ogden, UT and Gayleen Knopp (Joe) of O'Neill, NE; and her brother-in-law Lee Gillespie of Cheyenne, WY.. She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren (4 on the way), and six nieces and nephews.
