He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville "Nick" Nicholls and Giovannina "Jo" Nicholls (Cardinale); and his grandparents, Salvatore "Sam", Bertha Cardinale, Fred and Lillian Nicholls.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Kuemmerle; his children, Alison Hearn (Bryan) of Elkhorn, NE and Mark Nicholls (Mandy) of Sheridan, WY; his grandchildren, Hailey and Logan Hearn; his sister Carol Ruby (Jerry) of Buffalo, WY; and his aunt Jeanie Kaste of Great Falls, MT. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
