He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Meyer Sr. and Edna May Curl; his brother David Meyer; his half-brother Ronald Meyer; and his nephew David Allen Meyer.
He is survived by: his half-siblings, Carl Meyer of Missouri, John Meyer of Alabama and Martha Welch (Gene) of Texas; his children, Julia Pillen (Corey) of Newcastle, Charles Meyer of Newcastle and Martha Decker (Kenny) of Casper; and his grandchildren, Michael Reid (Sondra), Christina Robertson (Gareth), Elizabeth Hawley (Richard), Jennifer Ingram (Cody), Amanda Mecham (Amasa), Joseph Pillen (Farrah Joe), Robert Meyer (Amber), Tony Lenardson (Kara) and Heather Husman (Mark). He is also survived by 26 great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
