He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Oscar Sylte and Lena Sylte; his wife Joyce Strickling; his siblings, Adolf and Genevieve; his children, David (Delores), Mark (Dottie), Deb, Tom (Melanie) and Dan; his grandchildren, Cassie Ronning (Mike), Jake (Allie), Ryan (Alysha), Trey (Paige), Hunter and Hayden; his stepgrandchildren, Natalie, Nichole, Robert, Eric and David; and his great grandchildren, Paetyn, Lucy and Macy.
Lyle had requested that donations can be made in his name to Christ the King Lutheran Church.
