He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Achenbach and Renate Achenbach (Reich); and his grandparents, Gustav, Meta Reich, Clifford and Macel Achenbach.

He is survived by: his siblings, Donald (Amanda) of Waldron, Mi and Hollie of Jacksonville, FL.; his nieces and nephews, Arianna, Kayla, Julianna, Stephen, Nevaeh, Maria, Donald, Emory and Laurell; his aunt Diane Fischer (Nick); and his uncles, Garland Achenbach (Joan) and Dieter Schneider.

Donations can be given to Gerd Achenbach Memorial Fun at First State Bank of Newcastle.
