She was predeceased by: her son Daniel Paul Coates; her parents, Fredrick William Chopping and Arrah Fairy Ridgeway McCoy; her siblings, Geraldine Chopping Haggerty and William Chopping; her stepsister Donna Mae McCoy Littrell; her granddaughter Rylan Polly; her great-niece Robin Huelle; and her nieces and nephews, Sherry Chopping Harris, Jody Thompson Apodaca, Ronnie Chopping, Jeff Thompson and Jeff LaFoya.
She is survived by: her husband Robert John Coates; her daughter Shayne Marie Coates; her close friend Robert Andrews; her daughter Diane Polly (Jon); her granddaughters, Tricia Sclimenti (Frankie Sclimenti), Tamra Rodriguez (David Rodriguez), Maureen Childers (Aaron Childers) and Susan Coates; her great grandchildren, Rudy Lozano, Melissa Rodriguez, Rebecca Rodriguez, Anna Rodriguez, Jessica Childers, Erin Childers, Connor Childers, Devin Bridge, Gabe Hyland, Dean Koncilia and Daryl Polly; her nieces and nephews, Shirley Haggerty Anderson, Ellen Haggerty Eiseman, Edith Haggerty Pryor, Sandra Haggerty Bolte, Faye Haggerty Hill, Karen Chopping Dick, Connie Chopping Gatenbein, Doniel Benson Piaz, Janelle Benson Osterloh, Roy Haggerty, Randy Hunter, Jim Sims, Doug Sims, Ross Sims and Richard Benson; her stepsister Lois White Benson; and her sisters-in-law, Norma Coates Sims and Joy Coates LaFoya.
