He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Retzlaff and Nadine Retzlaff (Hoagland). He is survived by: his wife Dena Retzlaff (Larson); his daughter Melanie Bourne (Ty) of Clinton, NE; his grandchildren, Shelby Stangle (Brice) and Ethan; his child Robin Retzlaff (Stephanie) of Alliance, NE; his grandchildren, Jackson and Ryley; his daughter Nichole Younkin (Brad) of Rushville, NE; his grandchildren, Gracyn, Kenley and Oaklyn; his siblings, Kerry Retzlaff (Sherry), Keith Retzlaff (Vickie) and Kristi Paul (Keith); and his parents-in-law, Marylou Larson and Terry Larson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and BMWED brothers and sisters.

Memorials may be made to the Niobrara County Golf Course.
