He was predeceased by: his father William Dorrence; his significant other Marilyn; his parents-in-law, Albert and Fern Toth; his sister Berniece Lammela; his son-in-law Steve Smith; and his brother-in-law Greg Toth.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Dorrence-Smith of Cheyenne, Michael (Michelle Dorrence) and Maria (Kevin Oder); his grandchildren, Stefan, Jessica Smith, Andrew, Bri Smith, Monica Smith and Gabrielle Dorrence; his sister Susan (Rudy Magagna); and his brother-in-law Jim (Gail Toth). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to 2 of Sam's favorite charities: World Wildlife Fund or World Central Kitchen.
