He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth M. Mahaffey and Charles S. Mahaffey; his brothers, Earle and Steven; and his sister-in-law Dorothy.
He is survived by: his wife Eugenia Kay Schneider Harris; his stepson Shawn Harris; his mother-in-law Hazel; and his siblings-in-law, Diana, Glenda and Charles. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
