He was predeceased by: his parents, Harrison Goldsmith and Eva Alice Dutton; his son Stephen; his sisters, Janice and Winifred; and his great grandchild Spencer Wade Thompson.
He is survived by: his wife Mamie; his daughter Theresa Dutton Thompson (Garth); his grandchildren, Michael Thompson (Tammy), Cassandra Thompson Bershinsky (William) and Angela Thompson Beck (Brian); his great grandchildren, Hannah, Christopher, Joey, Matthew, McKinley, Bridger, Christina, Bradon, Brycen and Carter; and his great great grandchild Jocelyn. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Veterans Foundation or a charity of your choice in his memory. John Cromwell Dutton's legacy will endure through his contributions to film and the love he shared with his family, a testament to a life well-lived.
