He was predeceased by: his parents, George Krell and Margaret Krell (Long). He is survived by: his wife Kathy; and his children, Chris Krell (Tammy), Mike Krell (Missy), Noel Welch (Erin), Christian Welch (Jenny) and Ellen Walker. He is also survived by ten grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made in George's name to the American Heart Association.
