It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Byron E. Sage (Lander, Wyoming), born in Fort Washakie, Wyoming, who passed away on February 9, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Sage (Trosper) and Joseph Sage Sr.; his siblings, Joseph Sage Jr., Allison Sage Sr., Gerald Sage Sr., Vernita Sage, Rosalie Sage (LaBeau), Velina Sage-Quiver (Becky) and Veeda Sage; his granddaughter Melissa Medicinehorse; his son-in-law Dominia Medicinehorse Sr.; his nephews, Redstone Curry, Ethan Hereford, Gerald Sage Jr. and Thad Tidzump; and his niece Kathy Sage.
He is survived by: his wife Janis Sage; his children, Denise Medicinehorse, Jess, Christina Sage (Lanee), Joseph Sage (Shanelle) and Jennifer YellowBoy; his grandchildren, Johnathon, Dominic, Derek Medicinehorse, Sharice, Jeremy, Lance Jr., Destiny LaJeunesse, Raedrea, Kaesha, Maelyn and Marlena Sage; his siblings, Bill Sage (Joan), Joetta Armour (Ron), Smyrna Sage-Winn (Lloyd) and Ardyenne Sage0Ruvalcaba (Cesar); and his great grandchildren, Thunder, Bitner, Goggles, Trosper and Quiver. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, grandchildren.
