He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Trout and Cecilia Trout (Fountain); his son Gerald L. Trout; and his siblings, Vada and Bill.
He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Thompson; his children, Brian Trout and Debra Oates; his grandchildren, Becky Myers (Noah), Charlie Oates and Kim Oates; and his great grandchildren, Marvin Deselm (Jean), Larry Deselm (Annete) and John Bigetol (Marsha). He is also survived by many relatives and friends.
Memorials may be given to the Lingle Community Presbyterian Church.
