The passing of Verna Hunzie Combs Povsche of Kemmerer, Wyoming leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on February 8, 2025 at the age of 96. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hunzie and Mary Hunzie (Dubinsky); her brothers, John (Fern), Harry (Patty) and Chuck (Eva); her son James Combs; her daughter-in-law Julie Combs; and her former husband R. D. Combs.
She is survived by: her husband Paul; and her children, Bob Combs (Nancy) of Kemmerer and Dianne Maffei (late Charles) of Laramie. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to Hospice of Laramie or St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
