She was predeceased by: her parents, Glenn Morris and Edna Morris; her husband Gene Griffis of Hulett, WY; her parents-in-law, Don and Gladys Griffis; and her siblings, Bill, Berle, Jack and Ethel Merkley.

She is survived by: her children, Chad Griffis (Dee) of Sundance, WY, Karen Dirks (Mike) of Hulett, WY and Doug Griffis of Gillette, WY; her grandchildren, Clinton Griffis of Powell, WY, Jacob Griffis (Brianna) of Powell, WY, Miranda Griffis of Helena, MT and Ethan Dirks of Billings, MT; her great grandchild Carson Hawken of Laramie, WY; her brother Bob Morris of Buffalo, WY; and her siblings-in-law, Jerry Griffis of Gillette, WY, Jeanette Betterton, Donna Borchgrevink and Patsy Alm. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family has established a memorial.
