He was predeceased by: his parents, Manuel Bernal and Maria Sanchez Bernal; his wife Nancy Bernadette Bernal; and his siblings, Juan Antonio Bernal, Lorenzo Bernal, Manuel "Gilbert" Bernal (Gilbert), Alfonso "Joe" Bernal (Lena), Beatricita Bernal, Katie Maestes (Armando) and Nora Trujillo.
He is survived by: his sons, Carl Bernal (Irene) of Colorado, Kenneth Bernal of Green River, Wyoming and Michael Bernal (Lavern) of Green River; his sister Theresa Bernal; his grandchildren, Bernadette Bernal (Michael Case) of Green River, Coleen Bernal (Matt Klesius) of North Carolina, Rachael Cummings (Marshal) of Green River, Rebecca Toman (Zack) of Wamsutter, Wyoming, Maria Bernal of Green River, Johnny Bernal of Rock Springs, Carmen Lavin of Green River, Crystal Bernal-Lavin of Green River, Tony Maciel (Josette) of Rock Springs and Nathaniel Bernal (Isabella Serna) of Windsor, Colorado; and his great grandchildren, Von Camacho, Taya Gonzalez, Rayn Maciel, Lyric Maciel, Brice Case, Bradley Case, Brayden Cummings, Gabriel Cummings, Magnolia Cummings, Autumn Toman, Emma Toman and Evan Bernal. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
