He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Karen Lee Hopkins (Schenewerk); his children, Troy Lee Hopkins of Glenrock, Jordan Adam, Jodie Hopkins of Littleton, Cinnamon and Casey Johnson of Douglas, Wyoming; his grandchildren, Damian Hopkins, Khael Hopkins (Saydee), Chasta Rothleutner (Jesse MacCue), Kyndri Hopkins, Killian Hopkins, Carmyn Troi Nida, Kaizley Johnson and Chad Horton; his great grandchildren, Zayha, Ariya Nida and Jesse MacCue Jr.; his siblings, Barbara Byer of Mills, Sharlene Locker (William) of Powell, Wyoming, Dale Hopkins (Sonia) of Washington and Charles Herbert Hopkins; and his parents, Charles Clyde and Fern Hopkins (Wolln). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
