He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Samuel and Elma June Cannady; his sister Betty Bechtle; his children, Frank Cannady, Helen Cannady and Lisa Vensor; and his grandchildren, Bridget Cannady and Dustin Ryhmes.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Cannady; and his stepsons, Roger Cannady of Gainesville, Edward Corbin of Saint Joseph, Richard Corbin (Rochelle) of Maitland, Forest Hughes (Marla) of Arlington and Mike Hughes (Elizabeth) of Glenrock. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
