He was predeceased by: his parents, Alma M. Engling (Deiter) and William Engling; his stepfather Jesse W. Minear; and his brothers, Everett "Honk" Engling and Edward.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Engling of Glendo; his children, Ronald Dean Engling (Tammy) of Glendo, Robert John Engling (Sandy) of Glendo, Nancy Helen Dysart (Todd) of Glendo, Linda Lee Boughton (Mike) of Wheatland and Cheryl Ann Ellis (Dan) of Lingle, Wyoming; and his siblings, MaryAnn Standley of Salina, Viola Karst of Russell, Kansas and Orval Engling (RoseMarie) of Luray. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
