He was predeceased by: his parents, Guss Henry McDonell and Effie Ruth McDonell (Peterson); and his wife Ada McDonell. He is survived by: his children, Ella McDonell (Warren Clarke) and Sherman McDonell (Shelley); his grandchildren, Jessica Reeve (Larry DeWitt) and Tyrell Emery (John); and his great grandchildren, Johnny and Colton Emery. He is also survived by six sisters.
