It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charles Nearing (Fort Laramie, Wyoming), who passed away on February 9, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Nearing and Elaine Nearing; his sisters, Beverly and Macel; his sons, Gene, Mark and Terry; and his son-in-law David.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Nearing; his daughter Charlene Cole (David Cole); his granddaughters, Sara Peterson (Jacob), Retha Cummings (Sean) and Andrea Campuzano; his great grandchildren, Arianna Peterson, Cora Peterson and Adeline Cummings; his brother Harry Nearing; and his sister-in-law Maxine Reed. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Fort Laramie Community Center (102 Otis St, Fort Laramie, WY 82212).
