He was predeceased by: his wife Ilene Eastman Matthews; his parents, Donald Matthews and Irene Matthews; his daughter Daralynn Sue Matthews; his brother Donald Eugene Matthews Jr.; his grandson Jeremy Keith Matthews; and his great grandchild Weston Buchanan.
He is survived by: his children, Doug Matthews (Sandra), Dave Matthews (Cindy), Kayleen McCoy (Johnny), Nancy Thomson (Russ) and Brent Matthews (Kim). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren; Sister Millie Day, numerous nieces and nephews.
