He is survived by: his wife Rosa Ramirez; and his stepchildren, Gabriel Mendez, Pablo Mendez, Julio Mendez, Miguel Mendez and Maribel Gutierrez. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
