He is survived by: his parents, Beth Johnston Goodwin of Evanston, WY and Alan David Staats of Phoenix, AZ; his daughter Avala Staats (Bryson) of Waterloo, IA; his stepson Bryson Kruse of Vinton, IA; his grandfather Murray Vincent Johnston Jr. of Oxford, PA; and his siblings, Heather Johnston Boyne of Alexandria, VA, Devon Ann Boyne of Middletown, DE, Noel Boyne Salzano of Fairfax, VA and George David Staats III of Phoenix, AZ.. He is also survived by five nieces and nephews and many extended family.
