He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Ora and Geneva John; and his aunts, Iris John Jones (Erv), Katherine John Clark (Woody) and Hope John.

He is survived by: his aunt AJ; his parents, Janis Bartschi Smith and Ronald O.; his siblings, Melanie Smith, Debby Burke, Callie John, Marty Smith of Parker, CO and Alan Smith; his uncle Brent Bartschi (AJ); his aunt Julie Pitcher of Logan, UT; and his cousin Mike Jones (Susan) of Cherry Creek, UT. He is also survived by many cousins and nieces and nephews.
