He was predeceased by: his parents, Jane Irvine (Moore) and Robert William Duncan; and his brother Irvine Moore Duncan. He is survived by: his children, Robert William Duncan III and Fon Diane McConnell; and his wife Pat Duncan. He is also survived by two children; and three grandchildren.
