He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert and Marlyn Rae Hornick (Anderson); his brother John Archie Hornick; and his nephew Roman Butterfield Jr. A. He is survived by: his wife Zina; his daughter Nicole Helen Blake (Joseph Don) of Douglas; his grandsons, Alexander Jay Blake of Douglas and Dominic Robert Blake of Douglas; and his siblings, Kathleen Mary Hornick of Tucson, Steven Jeffrey Hornick (Peggy) of Cumming, Georgia and Nancy Jeanne Hornick of Stevens Point, Wisconsin. He is also survived by four nieces; and three nephews.
