He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles David Read and Iole Read; his sister Mary Barbara "Bobbie" Read; his grandson James Brady Read; and his wife Barbara Dawn Read (Brow).
He is survived by: his grandson Brady; his children, Barbara Jean "Jeannie" Rightmire (Gary) of Casper, James Lee Read Jr. (Molly) of Wheatland and Janet Susan Pexton (Gene) of Douglas; his sisters, Alice Joanne Trumper of Tucson and Donna Iole Douglas (Ernie) of Wheatland; and his grandchildren, Jesse Bowen, Tom Read, Brody Read, Travis Pexton, Dustin Pexton, Tristan Pexton, Michale Medina, Tracy Hudson, Dawn Bowen, Erin Milburn, Lane Read and Dax Read. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
