He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Gruwell and Ruth Louise Irwin (Leman); and his former wife Lucille E. Irwin (Edwards). He is survived by: his former wife Lucille Edwards; his wife Jane M. Irwin of Douglas; his children, Douglas D. Irwin (Glenda) of Douglas, Denise L. Langley of Douglas, Dianne L. Birch (Dave) of Keeline, Terry L. Askin of Douglas and Randy Harrop (Diane) of Douglas; and his brother C. Donald Irwin (Carolyn C.) of Douglas. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
