She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lester Short and Bethel Short (Raush); her husband Vernon Ellis Jr.; her children, Tim (Denise) and Pamela; her grandchildren, Ryan and Rachael Ridolfi; her stepgrandchildren, Daniel Heilbrun and Dena Douchant; her great grandchildren, Lucas, Cameron, Austin and Cayson; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Shelby, Madison, Payton, Wyatt and Kamrynn; and her close friends, Jack and Carol Wagner.
Her request was cremation and the family requests no flowers, but encourage memorial gifts to Alzheimer's Association, Waggin' Tails Animal Shelter, NAMI, or Torrington United Methodist Church in Sandy's name.
