He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl S Lund and Josephine Lund (Frank). He is survived by: his children, Dawn Rose Lund, Aaron Vance Lund and Helen Lancaster Dixon; his close friend Kathy Boyd Rochedieu; and his sister Joanie.
Into his 80s, John made significant contributions to the work of noted North and Meso-American Archeologist, Dr. Richard "Dick" Adams and team during several years of high elevation field work on the Mountain Shoshone villages in the Wind River Mountains.
