She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernie M. Blackstone and Jessie I. Gentner; her husband Herman Harke; her daughter Carolyn Person; her siblings, James, Charles Blackstone and Charlotte Mitch; and her grandson Shawn Younglove.
She is survived by: her sister Marjory; and her granddaughters, Georgia Younglove, Dawn Sanchez and Jessica James. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
