He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Rayl and Kathryn Rayl; his daughter Julie; his siblings, Josephine, Shirley, Waldo, Dan and Dave; his daughter-in-law Patricia Rayl; his brother-in-law George Krouse; and also, Kenneth and Caroline Krouse.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Krouse; his brothers, Jerry and Charles; his children, Jeff Rayl, Mitch Rayl (Shelley), Barb Hess (Derek) and Carolyn Gaspari (Joe); his grandchildren, Nathan Rayl (Kim), Renee Portell (Don), Sarah Rayl, Austin Hess (Kat), Reann Follum (Robby), Carly Grubb (Lance), Amanda Hampson (Rob), Ben Rayl (Stacie), Alex Hess (Sami), Matt Rayl (Kelli), Chelsie Gaspari, Joe Rayl and Dave Rayl (Jessica); and his great grandchildren, Jake Rayl, Joey Rayl, John Steele, Sophia Grubb, Autumn Rayl, Haley Grubb, Natalie Follum, Ryan Follum, Matt Grubb, Ellie Follum, Holly Hess, Nora Rayl, Rose Rayl, Mei Hess, Oliver Rayl, Henry Rayl and Lucy Rayl.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home (2222 Russell Ave, Cheyenne, WY 82001). A burial was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 1:30 PM and from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cheyenne National Cemetery (8611 Hildreth Rd, Cheyenne, WY 82009). A reception was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Cheyenne Hills Church (7505 US-30, Cheyenne, WY 82001). Visitation was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 11:30 PM to 11:15 AM at the Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home (2222 Russell Ave, Cheyenne, WY 82001).
