It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia T Chavez (Cheyenne, Wyoming), born in Greeley, Colorado, who passed away on September 2, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Pete Martinez; her sons, Steven Manzanares and Richard Manzanares; her granddaughter Macey Manzanares; her brother Rudy Martinez; and her son-in-law John Cummings.
She is survived by: her mother Angelita Martinez of Cheyenne; her sons, Salvador Manzanares, Jr. of Clearwater, FL, Jerome Manzanares (Rick) of Denver, Jason Manzanares (Billy Jo) of Denver and Johnny Chavez of Cheyenne; her siblings, Robert Martinez (Theresa), Lenora Munoz and Sally Vigil; her sister-in-law Dorothy Martinez of Cheyenne; and her friend Diana Kirkman of Denver. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and an uncle.
