He was predeceased by: his son Robert Lee West; and his parents, Robert P. West and Lorena West. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann West; his daughter Debra E. Laughlin (Al Laughlin); his grandchildren, Hesten, Regan Story of Gillette, Krashanda, Will Burk of Colorado Springs and Jason Crocket of Murfreesboro; and his sister Bessie Lejune of Cheyenne. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel (1900 E 19th St, Cheyenne, WY 82001).
