It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rachel N. Murphy of Cheyenne, Wyoming, born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, who passed away on February 28, 2024, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Nancy Elizabeth DeBolt; her former husband Paul D. Bartow; her daughter Shelly; her husband Kevin Francis Murphy of Cheyenne, WY; her children, Jacob Bartow of Cheyenne, WY, Paul Bartow of Laramie, WY and Stephanie Bartow (Jeremy Fisher) of Wabash, NE; her grandson Jacob Vance (Sparkplug); her daughter Nicole Reeh (Tyler) of Lincoln, NE; her granddaughter Leona Reeh; her father Gary DeBolt; her siblings, Scott DeBolt (Jen) and Sarah DeBolt; and her father-in-law Francis Murphy.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Shelly's Warm Blanket Project, Jonah Bank, 2015 Central Avenue Cheyenne, WY 82001.

“It was with surprise I saw the notice yesterday of Shelly’s passing. She seeded to be “doing well” (relatively) recently as we discussed her cancer battle. While having known her for several years through Jonah Bank activity, over the last 16 months, we’d connected via the commonality of cancer, as my mother faced the battle with cancer through the same period of time. One never knows when God will call us from this life. May she rest in peace.”
