With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Loyola Valdez in Cheyenne, Wyoming, born in Ledoux, New Mexico, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 16, 2025 at the age of 97. Though Loyola has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Cathedral (100 W 21st St, Cheyenne, WY 82001). A burial will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Mount Olivet Cemetery (801 E Pershing Blvd, Cheyenne, WY 82001). A reception will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at 1600 E Pershing Blvd, Cheyenne, WY 82001. A prayer will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Joseph's Food Pantry or the Vialquin A. Valdez Memorial Scholarship through the HOPE organization.
