He was predeceased by: his parents, John Louis Alden and Bernice B. Weigel Alden; his brother William "Billy" Alden; his parents-in-law, Beuna Metzler and Edward Metzler; and his brothers-in-law, Loni Hehr, Kerry Hehr, Jack Metzler, Jerry Metzler and Don Metzler.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy Jo Hehr; his daughter Kymbrlye Freeman; his son-in-law Brad Freeman; his daughter Traci Bush; his son-in-law Jim Bush; his grandchildren, Victoria Bush, Mickale Bush and Patrick Bush; his great grandchild Poppy BushHill; his sister Marlene Zumo; and his brother-in-law Pasco Zumo of Cheyenne. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
