He was predeceased by: his brother Lloyd Montgomery. He is survived by: his siblings, Sue Boss, Kathie LaPierre and John Montgomery; and his children, Bill Montgomery (Kari), Dan Montgomery (Shelley) and Maria Cleveland (Jimmy). He is also survived by his eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
