With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carmen Ornelas of Cheyenne, Wyoming, who passed away on September 3, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesus Ornelas and Theodora Ornelas (Bustos); and her siblings, Julia Lauts, Mary Quintana and Joe Ornelas.

She is survived by: her sons, Paul Valdez of Cheyenne and James Valdez, Jr. of Colorado; and her siblings, Jesse Ornelas (Evelyn) of Colorado, Gloria Martinez (Eugenio), Jennie Robar of Colorado, Esther Lujan and Pauline Gonzalez of Cheyenne.
