He was predeceased by: his parents, George L. Brater and Evelyn Brater (Crow); his wife Janice Ruth Twidale; his sister Beverly Bielen; his siblings-in-law, Hardy Bielen and Pat Brater; and his niece Nikki Brater Cuomo.
He is survived by: his sons, Samuel Byron (Bonnie), Nate (Kim) and Steve; his grandchildren, Bryce (Samantha), Stephen, Megan (Garrett), Brandon (Alayna), Bethany (Jason), AmyJo, Mandy and Katie; and his brother Bob. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations to Calvary Academy Gymnasium fund, care of Calvary Baptist Church, 1800 S. Conwell, Casper, 82601.
